Size
Corkscrew Hazel is a large deciduous shrub with highly contorted and twisted branches, bearing broadly ovate leaves and pendent yellow male catkins in late winter and early spring. It has a height after 10 years of between 2.5 to 4 metres as well as a spread of 2.5 to 4 metres.

It can be grown in either exposed or sheltered areas.

We have given the Corkscrew Hazel an easy to moderate growth rate as it grows best in chalky soil in full sun or partial shade. Additionally it should be propagated by grafting.
