What is the Chopwell Experience?

Recent client Chris, recounts their Chopwell experience.

“We have a tall, wide conifer hedge on one side that needs cutting every year. We also have a number of overgrown and overhanging trees at the back of the garden that get bigger and more invasive each year. Previously we have always used a garden contractor to cut the hedge. This year we needed the overhanging trees cut back too. We wanted a professional to complete the work and to get some quotes including Chopwell trees.

Ram from Chopwell came to meet us and assess the work required. He is a great listener and took time to walk round and discuss how he could achieve what we wanted. He explained what was possible. The hedge, he said was easily sorted, the trees at the back, a little more tricky, but any branches over hanging the boundary he can be remove which will let much more light in. He estimated 2 days, and we agreed a date and a price.

All set to start

“A week before the start date Ram contacted us, concerned that the recent wet weather had left the ground too wet for him to work without damaging the lawn. This, we found was typical of his care and attention to his work and its impact on our space.

The Workdays

Day 1 Ram arrived and got straight to work cutting the hedge with his assistant clearing and tidying as they went. The result a beautifully cut hedge and no mess left behind.

Day 2 Ram came with his big chipper to process all the branches. He cut back all the overhanging branches as agreed and processed them into fine wood chip which he was going to take away until we asked him to leave it so we could mulch our flower beds. He spread the mulch for us which was a lovely bonus. Again all the mess was cleared and once they had finished, we were left with tidy boundaries, well shaped large shrubs in the garden and so much more light.”
