Estate agents say that spring to summer is the best time to sell, so getting everything looking at its best will help attract buyers and even help you to command a premium.

- Drives, paths, patios and decking. Power wash to remove grime, moss and slime. You don’t want potential tenants or buyers slipping on their way into the property
- Grass. Mow it and trim the edges, a neat lawn, whether it is mainly weed and moss or perfect grass looks better for a cut
- Trees, shrubs and plants. Cut out dead wood and foliage. Now the new leaves are coming out it is easy to see what hasn’t survived. If removing the dead stuff leaves an odd shaped plant, trim it and it will soon recover
