Christmas is almost here and like us you may have some gifts still buy, and perhaps be short of ideas too. Let us help with our suggestions for last minute garden gifts!

Practical Garden Gifts

These may not be the most original, but they can be the most useful

Compost bins – available online, in your local garden centre or discounted products for Warwick residents available from Warwickshire County Council . There is also a newsletter Warwickshire Recycles packed with seasonal tips and hints to reduce your waste
Water butts – discounted butts with kits to attach to a down-pipe available to residents in the Severn Trent area
Garden Tools – from your local garden centre, ironmonger, or DIY shop. We particularly like Torres on West Street in Warwick for help and advice in choosing garden tools

Gifts to benefit you & your garden

Have a free initial consultation from Chopwell. We can advise on tree, hedge and shrub management, general garden maintenance and give ideas to improve your space
National garden gift tokens are available at most garden centres and online to spend as you want.
Garden skills courses. There are a wealth of options available, including rose pruning, composting, creating various types of gardens, a quick search will show what is near you and is in your budget

Gifts to help wildlife

Feed the birds, learn to identify them, buy nesting boxes, and get cameras with live feed into them. The RSPB is full of ideas
Encourage native mammals by providing shelter, food, and water. Your local wildlife trust has projects and gifts available

Garden Gifts to inspire you

An annual membership of a local countryside charity gives pleasure all year round. Examples include The National Trust, English Heritage, and the Royal Horticultural Society
If you want to see other people’s gardens, the National Gardens Scheme ‘Yellow book’ lists private gardens open during 2023

We hope that one or more of these suggestions are helpful to solve gift dilemma’s or as suggestions to those wanting to know what to give you.
